The right protocol on the first plan: 5 ways Scriptura gets you the full picture before you treat

You already help patients on day one. With the full picture in front of you before the visit, the first plan is the one that holds, and your patient feels their money went to the right thing.

Functional, longevity, regenerative and concierge clinics hit the same five gaps on the way to the underlying cause. Scriptura closes each one, so patients get answers sooner, stay on protocol and come back on schedule.

Gap 1

The whole history arrives with the patient.

Clinical information is missing in one of every seven primary care visitsSmith, JAMA 2005. Your patient forgot the urgent care visit that explains today’s complaint.

Gap 2

Testing is done before you prescribe.

Some labs, no hormone panel, no genetics. You start the patient on something reasonable and order the rest. Some of that testing never gets done: in a study of 27,802 patients, non-completion of ordered tests ran as high as 24%, depending on the testJ Gen Intern Med, 2013. When results do arrive and the protocol changes, the patient feels they bought the wrong supplement.

Gap 3

Every cause read together.

In claims data on nearly 29 million women aged 45 to 51, only 7% had a documented perimenopause or menopause diagnosis, and only 1 in 5 who sought care for common symptoms received oneKomodo Health. Your athletes and weekend warriors get a basic panel that says they are fine, and nobody has looked at their genetic markers for endurance, strength, and recovery. So they overtrain, get hurt, and miss the competition they were training for.

PlanForMonthlyReportsPer report
CoreOne prescriber$599200$3.00
CadenceOne prescriber, plus health coaches or nutritionists$1,299500$2.60

Why these numbers

  • Core starts at 200 because 10 visits a day, 5 days a week, is 200 a month. 82% of dedicated functional medicine practitioners see 10 or fewer patients a dayIFM, 2016, and most concierge physicians see six to eightConcierge Medicine Research Collective. Core covers a full solo schedule with room to spare.
  • Cadence is for one prescriber. Health coaches or nutritionists can work with that prescriber. It includes 500 reports a month.
  • Core and Cadence are for one prescriber each. A clinic with two prescribers uses two plans. Clinics with three or more prescribers should contact the team.

More time per day, better patient results, more return visits and referrals. When you add health coaches or nutritionists, Cadence is the plan.

FAQ

Questions physicians ask before they run the numbers

How the calculator works, where its numbers come from and what the results mean.

What does the Physician ROI Calculator estimate?

The monthly value of clinician time, staff time and coach-led follow-ups, compared with the cost of a Scriptura plan.

Where do the default numbers come from?

Published averages: EHR time per visit from Overhage, Annals of Internal Medicine 2020; staff wages from the BLS, May 2024; cash-pay visit fees from Functional Med Finder 2026. Replace any default with your own.

How is ROI calculated?

ROI multiple is total monthly value divided by the monthly Scriptura cost. Net return is total value minus that cost.

What does break-even mean here?

The minutes per visit Scriptura needs to save for the plan to cover its cost: plan cost divided by visits times your fee per minute.

Does it assume I fill the time with more patients?

Only the share you set on the slider. The rest counts as time back, with no dollar value.

Is the result a guarantee?

No. It is an estimate from your inputs and the published averages cited on the page.
